Well so far this year it has been a bust. Only 1 fresh fish meal.

Skegemog has plenty of people on it ,but lacking decent sized fish. There was a report that good perch were being taking in 8 FOW near structure breaks. We did decent one day over 20 FOW, but has since stopped .

Birch lake is just disgusting. 4 days , more holes than I care to rember drilling and not 1 single hit. Talked to others on my lake and they said the same thing or a few dink walleye.

Long lake seems to be getting safer with the cold weather and no snow cover. Some limits have been reported in deeper water for eyes with shallow water providing perch and dink walleye.

Elk lake has frozen with 2 shantys on Kewadin harbor, but personaly I wont walk out on it. It has only been frozen for a week tops. Can't be more than 3 inches of ice .

We FINALLY got some snow cover here. Anywhere from 2 to 4 inches. Should make walking on lakes much eaiser as long as the wind dosen't blow it right back off the lakes.

Well, at least you are having some kind of ice season. I talk to quite a few anglers and they don't ever recall no ice like this. Lake St. Clair has never frozen except some canals and backwater areas. I say it's all my fault for starting the ice fishing website and wanting to get back into ice fishing more?!? What do you think? My fault?

The good news has to be that this can't happen two years in a row! So next season should be AWESOME!

2 days in the wind. That walk across Skeg is getting longer. Especially when the fish just aint biting real good. Burned a ton of wood keepin warm. Other than a few dinks Skege has just been slow.

On a good note a few days ago at dark and for a hour or so after. We hit big hand sized rockbass. Not sure if it is going on every noght, but I would expect .
Heard of a few bad outings on Intermediate. small or no fish.

Sounds like the eyes are hitting on the south arm of Chlarvoix. Down in the East Jordan area. Time to take the portable for a trip.
